We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. This doesn't affect our rankings. How we test
We haven't run hands-on tests yet, so this page compares prices and plans only.
We compared invideo, HeyGen, Synthesia, Pictory, Runway, Fliki and more by use case, free plan and output. Find the right AI video generator fast.
Eight generators are on this list. "Best" in the title is the search topic, not a finished ranking. The matrix and the blocks use the same eight names: invideo AI, Pictory, Fliki, HeyGen, Synthesia, Colossyan, Opus Clip, and Runway. Editors such as Descript stay on the category page so this list does not pretend a trimmer is a generator.

Start here if the input is a script and the output is a narrated video. invideo AI is the one with a checked seat price: $15 a month annual, or $30 monthly, and no confirmed free tier. Pictory's figures stay blank. Fliki is the opposite shape: free plan checked at 5 minutes a month, paid price unread.

Pick an avatar block when the frame is a person speaking to camera. HeyGen's checked free quota is 3 videos a month. Synthesia's checked free line is a Basic plan, and its annual Starter price is $18 against HeyGen's $24. Colossyan's checked paid line is the annual Professional price of $59, not a Starter price. For a YouTube workflow, this list points at two different jobs. invideo AI, already in the text-to-video block, is the script-to-video name. Opus Clip is the clip maker: it starts from a recording you already have, at a checked Starter price of $15 a month and a checked free plan. Neither one has a published test of watch time.

Runway is the cinematic file in this eight. Standard is $15 a month or $12 on annual billing, and a free plan is checked. The label is the job, not a claim that its pictures beat the others. That comparison has not been filmed.

Among the eight, checked free plans are HeyGen (3 videos a month), Synthesia Basic, Colossyan, Fliki (5 minutes a month), Opus Clip, and Runway. invideo AI and Pictory do not get a free-tier sentence. Free still means a quota. Watermark and commercial use are Not confirmed on every card because those clauses were not on the vendor's pricing page.
The table repeats the eight so a reader can scan best-for, free tier, and starting price without opening each block. It adds no score column.

After the price check, four questions still need an answer from the vendor.
Ask what the free quota counts: minutes, videos, or exports. Fliki's checked note is 5 minutes a month. HeyGen's checked note is 3 videos a month. Those units are not interchangeable.
The vendor's pricing page does not list a language count for any generator. If a second language is the reason you are buying, confirm it on the vendor page during checkout, not from this list.
Every commercial-license cell says Not confirmed. A paid plan is not automatically a license to run the clip in an ad. Read the vendor's terms for the plan you actually buy.
Watermarks were not recorded in the check. A free plan can be useful and still stamp the file. Treat watermark removal as an unverified question.
This list was built by filing the eight under a job and printing only checked quotas and prices. It was not built by exporting sample videos. That session type is described on the how-we-test page and has not been run for these names.
Checked free plans inside this eight are HeyGen at 3 videos a month, Synthesia Basic, Colossyan, Fliki at 5 minutes a month, Opus Clip, and Runway. invideo AI and Pictory are not described as free here.
The list splits YouTube into two jobs. invideo AI is listed for script-to-video. Opus Clip is listed for cutting a recording you already have, at $15 a month on Starter with a free plan checked. Watch-time results are not part of this page.
HeyGen, Synthesia, and Colossyan are the avatar names on this list. Annual billing is $24 for HeyGen Creator, $18 for Synthesia Starter, and $59 for Colossyan Professional. Vidnoz is on the category page with its price omitted.
The text-to-video block is invideo AI, Pictory, and Fliki. Only invideo AI has a checked paid price in that trio, and only Fliki has a checked free quota. Pictory stays blank until a fuller check.
We only show a price we could confirm on the vendor's site on the date shown.
