HeyGen is often used for marketing and social video. Synthesia is often used for corporate training. The confirmed difference is a price gap on annual billing and a different free plan.
If you need a third avatar name with a checked annual price, Colossyan Professional is $59 a month on annual billing, with a free plan and a free trial. Its Starter price is not printed.
Monthly entry prices match at $29. Annual billing doesn't: HeyGen Creator is $24 a month, Synthesia Starter $18. Free plans differ: 3 videos a month versus a Basic plan.

Both products are listed as avatar video. HeyGen's feature line in this project also names voice cloning and translation. Synthesia's line stays at avatar video because that is the job, not because a voice feature was disproved. Language counts are absent from the vendor's pricing page. A buyer who cares about a specific language should check the live product, not this paragraph.
HeyGen's full plan note, including the 3-video free quota, sits on the pricing anchor of the HeyGen page. Synthesia's checked Starter price is $29 a month or $18 on annual billing, with a free Basic plan. Neither annual discount is a quality finding. Colossyan, below, is the higher checked annual figure in this avatar set.
Choose from the checked difference you actually need. If the annual bill is the constraint, Synthesia's checked Starter annual price is lower. If you want the free plan stated as a video count, HeyGen's checked note is 3 a month and Synthesia's is a Basic plan without a count on the vendor's pricing page.
Colossyan stays in the avatar tools with a different price shape. Professional is checked at $59 a month when billed annually. A free plan and a free trial are checked. The Starter price was explicitly unconfirmed, so it is absent. Consider it when the HeyGen and Synthesia entry prices are not the constraint and you still want an avatar product with a checked figure.

Lowest paid plan: Not confirmed
Annual billing: $59/mo (Professional)
Annual billing is $24 a month for HeyGen Creator and $18 a month for Synthesia Starter. Free plans differ: 3 videos a month versus Basic. A better/worse result would need a hands-on session, which is not published.
The checked Starter price is $29 a month, or $18 a month on annual billing. A free Basic plan is checked. Other tiers are not printed.
A free Basic plan is checked. The vendor's pricing page does not state a video count for that plan, and it does not state that commercial use is included. HeyGen's free plan, by contrast, is stated as 3 videos a month.
We only show a price we could confirm on the vendor's site on the date shown.
